ONE-DAY SEGA REGIONAL TRAINING · OCTOBER 28, 2026
Practical training that connects inspection standards to the work your team does every day.
For housing authorities and housing professionals across Southeast Georgia and the surrounding region.
Built for the people
who keep housing working.
WHAT WE’LL COVER
By the end of this one-day workshop, participants will be able to complete the following practical tasks. The focus is public housing NSPIRE readiness and maintenance operations.
Locate the applicable HUD standard, distinguish Unit, Inside, and Outside inspection areas, and explain the main scoring concepts for public housing.
Identify common electrical, fire-safety, water-heater, plumbing, and other health and safety deficiencies; classify severity and find the applicable correction deadline.
Turn an inspection finding into a prioritized work order with an assigned owner, target date, repair record, and verification before closure.
Build a routine inspection and preventive-maintenance schedule, recognize recurring defects, and use supervisory checks to reduce repeat findings.
Document repairs with dates, clear notes, and photos; distinguish correction evidence from potential appeal evidence and identify what management should review.
Apply the standards to photo-based scenarios, practice setting repair priorities, and draft a 30-day action plan for your agency.
